Parks and Playgrounds

Azalea Park — Azalea Park is located along both sides of South Main Street between West 3rd North and West 5th North streets. The crown jewel of our parks system, Azalea Park has something to offer everyone. Winding paths invite a leisurely stroll. In the spring, the azaleas and camellias provide a spectacular view or admire the year-round beauty of our reflection ponds and bronze sculptures. Azalea Park is the host to several special events, including Summerville YMCA’s Flowertown Festival and Sculpture in the South’s Annual Show & Sale. The park also has two tennis courts available for recreational play, is home to the Cuthbert Community Center which can be rented for your special event needs, and has two beautiful wedding gazebos that are available for rent for your special day.
